Shanti Shahu comes to the “Aama Ghar” from Banjare village, ward no # 6. Her father died when Shanti’s mother was pregnant with Shanti. Shanti was with her mother before coming to the orphanage but she could not go to school as very poor situation of her mother who don’t have any job and no place to live. In Nepal after the death of husband it is very difficult for a woman to get re-married because of the very conservative society and the culture as well. So, after the death of her husband Shanti’s mother have to suffer a lot. She could not take care of her daughter and feed her then she brought her to the orphanage.

Shanti is very nice and quite girl. In the beginning when she arrives in the orphanage she could not speak Nepali language as she was speaking her tribe language. Now she learn to speak Nepali from her friends in the orphanage.

She is small girl with big aim in future. She wants to be a teacher in future.
